offer provide 区别是什么

　　offer和provide都有“提供”的意思，但有所区别。offer通常用来表示主动提供某物，常用于offer sb. sth. 或 offer sth. to sb. 结构中。provide常用来表示提供需要或有用的东西，常用于provide sb. with sth.或provide sth. for sb. 结构中。

　　一、offer “主动提出;自愿给予”

　　offer to do sth.， “主动提出做某事”;

　　offer sb. sth.= offer sth.to sb.“提供给某人某物”。

　　若offer后面所接的直接宾语为代词时，只能用offer sth.to sb.结构。

　　She offered me a cup of tea.

　　= She offered a cup of tea to me.

　　二、provide 为做好准备而“提供;供给”

　　provide sb. with sth.= provide sth. for sb.

　　Our government provides the students with free books.

　　= Our government provides free books for the students.
