汉语前置词、(英语:preposition，前置词,因为汉语介词一般前置)，在语法里是一个用来表现一个字的文法功能的词汇或字缀。一般用在代词或名词性质的短语前面，和这些词合起来组成介词结构，以表示处所、时间、状态、方式、原因、目的、比较对象等的词，去掉后原句意思改变。

1. back to back 背靠背，背对背
The children sat back to back so they couldn’t see each others’ drawings. 孩子们背靠背坐着，以免看见彼此的画。
另外，该短语还可表示“接连地”“接二连三地”。如：
The team had to play three games back to back. 这个队得接连打三场比赛。
2. eye to eye 看法完全一致，有相同的看法
该短语通常与动词see连用，且主要用于否定句。如：
We didn’t exactly see eye to eye. 我们的观点并非完全一致。
The two of them have never seen eye to eye on politics. 他们两人的政见从来就没一致过。
Jim and I have never seen eye to eye on this matter. 我和吉姆对此事的意见从来就不一致。
3. face to face 面对面
His ambition was to meet his favourite pop star face to face. 他一心向往的是要面对面地见见他心目中的流行曲歌星。
The two rival politicians were brought face to face in a TV interview. 那两个对立的政客面对面地一起接受电视访问。
若表示“与……面对面”，后接介词with。如：
Suddenly I found myself face to face with the young man. 突然我发现自己和那青年面对面地站着。
The burglar turned the corner and found himself face to face with a policeman. 盗贼一拐弯面对面地碰上个警察。
4. shoulder to shoulder 肩并肩
The route of the procession was lined with police officers standing shoulder to shoulder. 游行所经路线两边肩并肩站满了警察。
We went on board and saw these people packed shoulder to shoulder on the decks. 我们上了船，看见这些人在甲板上肩挨着肩挤在一起。
该短语还引申指“同心协力地”。如：
We will need you and the chairman standing shoulder to shoulder on basic positions. 我们需要你和主席在一些基本立场上共同进退。
该短语也可用连字符连成一个词。如：
They could fight shoulder-to-shoulder against a common enemy. 他们可以同心协力，对抗共同的敌人。
5. hand in hand 手拉手地
They walked along the cliff top hand in hand. 他们手拉手在悬崖上行进。
I saw them making their way, hand in hand, down the path. 我看到他们手拉手沿着小路往前走去。
该短语还引申指“密切相关地”“同时并进地”。如：
Hand in hand with the police inquiries the government has also announced a full investigation. 在警方调查的同时，政府也宣布要展开彻查。
尤其注意它与动词go的搭配使用。如：
War and suffering go hand in hand. 战争和苦难是同时并存的。
Proper diet and good health go hand in hand. 适当的饮食与健康的身体密切相关。
A good education goes hand in hand with getting a good job. 一个好的教育与找到一份好工作有密切的联系。
